Skills Required:

Able to stitch accurately along a curved line
Manual dexterity for pinning curved pieces together
Basic quiltmaking skills, including:

• Piecing
• Making a quilt sandwich
• Basic quilting and finishing techniques

Additional Materials Required:

30cm square of baking paper
Neutral thread for piecing
Assorted threads for quilting
100cm x 160cm piece of batting
100cm x 160cm backing fabric + extra for binding
2B or 4B soft pencil
Sewing machine & fabric scissors
Sewing pins & safety pins for basting
Iron and ironing board
