Weird and Wonderful Things in My Studio

Let's take a little peek into the studio today. This is where the textile artworks are screen printed, stitched and framed, and the quilt patterns and quilt kits are cut, folded and packaged. It's where I gather all the beautiful things that you order from my online shop.

I haven't tidied it up perfectly for this; I just thought you might enjoy a real glimpse into all the weird and wonderful things that comprise an artists studio!

Here's just some of the weird and wonderful things in my studio (I'll leave it to you to judge whether they are weird or wonderful!):

  • a trolley of blank plywood 'canvasses' and vintage papers waiting for a creative breakthrough
  • used paper screen-printing stencils
  • a walk-pad
  • a scissor tree (technically a jewellery stand, but I like it for scissors better)
  • stashes of binding and hanging sleeve offcuts
  • shelves of fabric bolts
  • shelves of hand-dyed fabrics
  • a collection of vintage haberdashery
  • squeeze clamps from Bunnings (soo handy!!)
  • a beautiful display stand full of tech gadgets
  • a toy sewing machine
  • stashes of cello bags and padded mailers everywhere!
  • a saxophone?!
  • random bits of lego from when the studio gets used as a shooting range...
