One of the privileges of raising small children is being reminded just how wonderful a world we live in – they appreciate so fully the small things which we have so long taken for granted – water falling, bubbles popping, birds singing, leaves falling, caterpillars crawling. It is also beautiful to watch them discovering what they can do themselves with their bodies and minds, as well as learning to do new things all the time.
